After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington & Jefferson College in 1972, Samuel J. Davis received his Juris Doctorate from Southern University School of Law in 1975. He earned an LLM Degree (Master of Law in Trial Advocacy) from the Temple University School of Law where he was the recipient of the prestigious Edward Ohlbaum Award of Excellence. He is a licensed practitioner in Maryland and in Pennsylvania. Attorney Davis is certified as a Criminal and Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2005. He has been a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court since 1981 and is also certified as a Capital Case Specialist able to represent individuals charged with crimes where the death penalty is a possibility. He is the past President of the Fayette County Bar Association and the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Southwestern PA. Attorney Davis is a former Trustee of his alma mater Washington & Jefferson College and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Uniontown Public Library. He is a litigator and has tried to judges and juries numerous criminal and civil trial matters.
