Born January 16, 1951 in Pittsburgh. Graduated Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School (1968), University of South Carolina (1971, B.A., Spanish), Indiana University, Bloomington (1975, M.A. Political Science; 1976, M.A. Spanish), University of Pittsburgh Law School (1979). Admitted to practice in PA in October, 1979. Fluent in Spanish. Married to Helen DePasquale since 1972. Two sons, two grandsons.
Since 1972 has been in private practice concentrating almost entirely on Plaintiff’s personal injury and criminal defense. Also does City of Pittsburgh fireman disciplinary hearings and civil service appeals. Tried nearly 100 civil cases to verdict, including one verdict in excess of $1,000,000.00 that was collected. Tried over 100 criminal cases to jury verdict, including more than a dozen homocides, four of those death penalty cases.
